The Story Of A Boy, And His First Love.
The scene is post-World War II Germany, the economy lies in shambles and automakers found difficulty salvaging material to build automobiles. However, during the war, Volkswagen had manufactured roughly 52,000 Beetles (then called the Kubelwagen). Just a short time later in 1952, a Mr. Ferdinand Porsche would use the motor, transmission, and several suspension components from the now-legendary Beetle to create a work of art that would grace the walls and fantasies of petrol-heads everywhere for the next 60 years and beyond.
From its humble beginnings, Porsche has always held true to its a racing pedigree, even through today creating an almost expected heritage of the perfect sports car for the working man. A combination of the luxurious amenities you would find in an Mercedes combined with the gritty aggressive driving habits many MR2 lovers have come to love… Essentially, the perfect automobile.

This love for the rich heritage projected by Porsche onto its followers, leads us to the protagonist of this article; Dan and his gorgeously subtle 997-chassis Porsche 911.
The obsession for Dan started early, at the tender age of 5, when he was watching “Bad Boys” with his dad; coming from a background of economic struggle but he promised himself that he would one day come to own one. Fast forward roughly 20 years and Dan was about to realize his dream. He had intended on snagging the classic 964 but instead settled for a newer, more refined Cayman S. However, this would prove not to be enough and just a year later Dan would make the move to the work of art you see before you today, his 911.

When choosing to modify a car such as this, certain idealistic qualities must be taken into consideration. There is a universal sign of respect that needs to be presented by Porsche owners. Rarely will you see the obnoxious wings or wide body panels that have become so popular in todays car culture.
Instead, Dan stayed true to Porsche’s original design choosing only to accentuate the car with modifications that would bring out the beauty the car already projected. This was done simply with a properly set air suspension and a set of retro favorite OZ Futura wheels.

A life long dream, and an eye for beauty in simplicity brought to life Dan’s dream with this immaculate 911 that has truly set itself aside from the pack in all the right ways. Somewhere out there is a Ferdinand Porsche smiling every time Dan hits the switches when he gets out of his new favorite toy.
